If you ...Jack, do an honest appraisal of your work. If you feel it is up to grade, then approach an established literary agent. It may cost you some, but if the book is good, then it'll be completely worth it.
Agents have the kind of contacts and influence that you don't.Mishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01232498025835895571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7633520758019548630.post-77813301433531954682012-03-22T07:17:21.458-04:002012-03-22T07:17:21.458-04:00@Layla: me too. Besides Tor Books who do Virga (thanks for that!) and Orbit (Banks) and Mic Cheetham Literary Agency (Banks again) anyone have any good ideas of places I should seriously consider?

Random thing to post, I know, but I'm terrified of my book going unpublished/read and my ideas used by others before I grow old (Frank Herbert got rejected 20 times and apparently it took a while for Dune to get famous http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Herbert) so any advice welcomeJack Mannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12040857080421312644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7633520758019548630.post-38563715777342841692009-06-14T17:24:32.271-04:002009-06-14T17:24:32.271-04:00I just googled "good sci fi like dune" a...I just googled "good sci fi like dune" and this blog post was EXACTLY what I was looking for. thank you!Laylahttp://www.heartlayla.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7633520758019548630.post-11158469657164827992009-02-28T16:23:00.000-05:002009-02-28T16:23:00.000-05:00I have seen the Culture books but never read them....I have seen the Culture books but never read them.
