Today the world said goodbye to Maurice Sendak, renowned childrens' book illustrator, composer, set designer, and author of more than 15 books for children, including the beloved Where the Wild Things Are. Sendak's famous picture books include Outside Over There, In the Night Kitchen, Higglety Pigglety Pop!, and The Nutshell Library. My Brother's Book, a poem written and illustrated by Sendak, is scheduled to be published in February. Click here for today's New York Times article remembering Sendak and his work.
